Good Morning Vietnam!

What's this?  Posting back-to-back days?  Three times so far this week?  Nah, this doesn't really count as a real post, but since I'm using this site as a journal as well I want to share (and remember) this story.

So today on our walking tour, we explored the New Town of Prague, which was the first big expansion out of the Old Town by Charles IV (Bohemian, Roman Emperor who had his seat of power in Prague).  As we walked along a street, I saw a guy chilling on a balcony and turned to my flatmate Doug, and said I would give him 1 crown (about 5 cents) if he yelled Ahoj! (Czech equivalent of "Yo!") at the guy, and if he waved back.

Well, immediately Doug did this, and the guy smiled, waved back, and we continued walking.  Moments later, as we were about to cross the street, this guy pulls out a megaphone from somewhere in his apartment, and yells back at us, "GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!"  Where he got a megaphone or why he chose that particular (although famous) phrase is beyond me, and speaks somewhat to the fact that I'm not in Kansas anymore.

The whole group laughed hysterically, as did he, and he waved again to us and smiled.  It kind of made my day.
